Time off + Keith back

Lack of practice
I haven't been practicing for a bit, but did a practice yesterday morning.
It's gonna be tough to get some practice in because of some family that are staying over.
Mostly because I don't want to freak them out (yet)

Well yesterday morning I had quite a tough time getting back into things
I got my straw moving, and the pinwheel - eventually.
But my head was throbbing afterwards

Moral of story: I mustn't stop practicing for more than a day or two

Keith's project
Keith has revised his decision to quit the project, and is back on it.
He's looking into the balanced straw as an example - which I'm happy about since I'm fairly good with it (relatively)

In any event - I hope everyone who celebrates xmas had a Merry Christmas!
I don't celebrate, but had a great day all the same :)

Keith's Project struggling for breathe

Keith Mayes' TK project
Today I find myself incredibly frustrated. Keith has decided to quit his project - he claims it to be due to some emails he received from a PPS moderator, who annoyed him.

Some links:
Keith's thread on TK
Keith's Project Page

I believed his project to be going exceedingly well. We had discovered that there was a phenomenon that may cause pinwheels to move with close proximity, particular arrangement and 20 deg. F of heat difference. This obviously cannot explain other forms of telekinesis, for example the ones in my videos, but what it does demonstrate is that some amateur/newbie TKers may find that they are not being telekinetic at all. Care needs to be taken.
And of course this statement incited some members to anger.

The easiest way to produce the effect was with mugs of boiling water.
See results of personal experimentation with it, here (1Mb) : Heat differentials can cause 'TK' effects

Just to further clarify - this is NOT proof that telekinesis does not exist - it simply demonstrates one particular case were it might be caused by effects other than TK.
It certainly doesn't explain my iceblock and straws moving - from 1 metre away. No hands.

Last night's progress
There was a thunderstorm last night, and my wife and a friend were in our small bedroom. I decided to get some practice with demonstrating TK, and whipped out my straw and pillowcase.
After the usual precautions, I sat and played with my straw.
Needless to say, that friend was amazed and thinks we're 'freaks' (she seems to be kidding though)

What I found interesting - the thunderstorm seemed to improve my ability.
Even my wife was doing TK on the straw (her usual annoying ability to reproduce what I do with little effort. Its a common thing among TKers, and seems to be related to belief)
We even played a game of 'straw tug-of-war'
This is around the time that the friend called us freaks :P

Compass in traffic

I was dragged shopping with some ladies today, but managed to persuade them to let me browse a book store while they faffed around.
I read some very interesting bits and pieces through different books - on self hypnosis, the subconscious, lucid dreaming, quantum mechanics and 'seventh sense' in humans and animals (telepathy). That last one was in the science section, btw ;)
Anyway, it left me with some interesting ideas and theories. But they're still very preliminary.

On the way back, the car broke down at the intersection (was my father's car, mine is not so good either :/)
Sat for hours, sorting out some help.
While the ladies went looking for food, I sat and tried to move my keyring compass with TK
Its one of those clear plastic balls, with a compass that rolls around inside.
I seemed to move it around about 40 degrees... very cool.
Until I reproduce it again, I won't advertise too loudly

Some time while waiting, some dickhead comes up behind me. Gets pissed off (my emergencies were on, and a triangle on the ground - which he drove over)... and then he reverses into the guy behind him.
Turns out he's as drunk as they come... excitement for the day.

[EDIT]
After posting this, I played with my straw. My speed wasn't great, but I moved it from over a metre away!! Three times in a row! Stoked.. hehe
(No its not a draught, that's been tested ;) )

Straw Vid Take 2

I got myself a new, undamaged straw, and got working on it.
Took me about 20 mins to budge, guess I had to get used to the new one.

After a bit of practice I decided a new straw video should be nice.
Especially one concentrating on distance.

It turned out well, but my head is in agony. The pressure in my forehead on that second last clip was enormous ... left me reeling
Its a few hours later and I'm still sore :(

So here it is : Balanced Straw Take 2

Test Day

As part of the Keith Mayes' telekinesis testing thingamabob, I did a few tests similar to what he did (Keith Mayes is a science author and sceptic, who does not believe in TK. He however believes that there is something that is causing our anomalies, and together our communities are working on looking at the possible answers)

Anyway heres the results for today. Ive been meaning to add the 2 pics I took, but got lazy and tired. Live with it. Pictures don't mean much anyway :P

TEST 1 - Unintentional 'Just put the hands there' test

21:42 - Set up pinwheel, closed windows and doors, washed hands, and touched bathroom piping. Covered mouth with pillow case, folded diagonally, tied behind head Wait for pinwheel to calm down (I have a video from yesterday showing that there are no draughts)

21:44 - Rub hands vigorously, to get them warm

21:46 - Initial air movement, from moving hands (I will not mention these again - I simply ignore them) Cupping hands close around the pinwheel (not what I usually do - I give it more distance)

21:49 - No movement. Rub hands some more, put wrists together...No movement. Finally have movement of approx. 7 degrees clockwise and anticlockwise slowly, alternating. for 20 seconds or so This only seems to happen if I keep my hands cupped close together around the wheel

21:55 - Rub hands again, try again... Cupping hands in the same identical way. hands are very warm. No movement whatsoever this time

TEST 2 - Intentional TK, the way that feels 'right'

22:12 - Now going to do TK the way I usually do - with approx 10 cm distance from the wheel, hands not cupped as before, but more spread out and distanced. Sweating under the pillowcase....

22:14 - After 1 minutes of nothing, switch hands to have them 'pointing' left, at bottom, right at top. approx 7 cm distance Another minute of nothing. Then it suddenly it moves 180 degrees clockwise, 90 a-c, 270 clockwise, 270 clockwise again Took a small breather (this pillowcase is hot :/)

22:19 - Started again this time with the intention to alternating direction when the movement stops. Approx 12 cm from wheel this time It soon moves 180 degrees a-c. and then 90 c. It continues like this, alternating with movement of about 90 to 180 each time, for the next 2 minutes or so It must have moved a total of at least 15 times, with a mistake in direction only once. Perhaps twice.

22:24 - Stopped for a breather

22:28 - Went to get iceblocks and water from cooler. And a towel Lay my hands in it for 30 secs. Damn that can be painful! Relief for 10 secs, More for 30 sec, and again. Very painful

22:34 - Soon moves 90 degrees a/c, and 45 c. Felt hands thawing out, so put them back at 22:36. Very difficult to concentrate with my bones aching.

22:37 - Wobbled a measly 10 degrees back and forth a bit. sluggishly. Not very convincing..

22:39 - Hands in ice again

22:40 - After a minute or so, it moves 180 c, 90 a-c, 45 c. Stopped. Jiggled a bit. Distance was about 10 cm

22:43 - Hour is up

Common goals?

I took a break from TK today, but not from the subject.

Some guys at PPSociety have gotten onto some mutual common ground with Keith Mayes, a known sceptic.
Together we would like determine what 'TK' is - known physical phenomenon, or something more.
We obviously have different views on the matter, but our goals are the same. Namely, to determine what TK really *is*

He claims to be able to rotate the pinwheel himself now, but is intrigued and unsure as to what is causing the anomaly. However he is adamant that it's not 'TK' until he examines it in detail
This might turn very interesting yet...

You can find the forum discussion at Keith's 'Theory for TK proven!' Page
(It started off a bit nasty, with Jester being nailed for some inaccuracies in his articles)

Another pinwheel vid

I tried to make a new pinwheel video, after I felt I was doing better.
After making it and compiling it, I feel its not really much better than the last one :(

Oh well, its more. Theres only 4 vids now anyway...

Breakthrough w/ Subconscious

ALRIGHT.. A good day :D I stayed home sick today, cos I felt so run down. Not sure why though :/

Anyway. A stayed in bed until midday, and then lay there in near-sleep. Just before hypnogogic imagery it seemed like.

I had a wierd experience involving my subconscious. And it seems to be beneficial for me, but I've removed the previously long post about it until I can confirm whether it was what I think it was.

So far the 'test' is failing. But it still has 2 days to go ;)

Regardless of what it was, I had some impressive results.
I rotated a icecube on a desk by 60 degrees, both clockwise and anticlockwise
And I rotated a pinwheel 10 times around, until I lost concentration

Quite happy :D

Short Session

I stuck up a pinwheel next to my keyboard at work, but I find the air movement around me to be too far too problematic.

After work, I didn't get a lot of time. But practiced a little bit
First a few mins of straw, which I got right quite fast :)
The rest of the lesson I spent on the pinwheel
I seem to getting the hang of the feeling now - Feels good too :D

Till tomorrow. Probably gonna take off sick, not feeling too good today.

Pinwheel Vid

I played a bit with my straw, and then tried to move some baby powder - turned out to be a bit tougher than I expected. I'll need some practice to get that one right.

Then I went to my pinwheel, and played with it for a while. With my usual limited success (I'm not good on pinwheels)
At some point, Gloomy suggested I try putting the straw next to it, and moving that.
I did - and to my suprise, the pinwheel moved a lot. And the straw stood still.

Anyway, that seems to have broken a barrier, because I can move my pinwheel a little easier now. I'm still very amateur at it, but at least I feel okay to make a simple video of it :)

So here we are - my first pinwheel video
My contribution to the hundreds of boring amateur pinwheel videos out there :P

Introduction

Welcome to my blog regarding telekinesis and my progress with it.
Many of you probably close this page, round about now, saying something like 'Telekinesis, what a screwball!'

If you have some time, I urge you to read my Explanation page
